Broadlawns Medical Center is committed to public information and accountability. In compliance with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Price Transparency effective January 1, 2021, Broadlawns Medical Center is providing the following links which include costs for over 300 services and procedures along with a full listing of our standard charges. Prices do not always reflect all costs associated with a service and a single service may include multiple price lines. The price lists will be updated annually in July.

Because every insurance plan is different, the most accurate information about out-of-pocket costs will come from your insurance provider. No Insurance? We Can Help.
If you do not have insurance coverage, Broadlawns Financial Counseling will assist patients in qualifying for federal, state, and local programs. In addition, we work with patients to help determine if they are eligible for financial assistance through the Broadlawns Community Care Program. We offer a variety of payment plans.

Broadlawns believes it is important to provide pricing information to the public. The Iowa Hospital Association (IHA)'s Iowa Hospital Charges Compare website allows users to easily access charge information for any type of inpatient hospitalization at any Iowa hospital.
Please keep in mind the information provided on this website is only an estimate. “Charge” is the amount billed for the service. Charges are the same for all patients, but a patient's responsibility may vary depending on payment plans negotiated with individual health insurers. Professional fees for physician services such as surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesia administration, and others are not reflected in the charges and will be billed separately.

The Broadlawns Healthcare Cost Estimate that you will receive is an estimate and is neither a quote nor a guarantee of the amount you will owe. Based on your unique medical condition and medical needs as determined by your physician, the actual amount you will owe may be either lower or higher than the estimate. This amount will depend upon a variety of factors, which may include, but is not limited to: the length of time spent in surgery or recovery, the number of days spent in the hospital, specific equipment, supplies and medication required, additional test required by your physician and/or any unusual special care of unexpected conditions or complications, and other factors. If you have requested an estimate for a surgical procedure the estimate will not include pre-procedure office visits, post-procedure office visits, and diagnostic testing.
The estimated amount that you may owe is not a guarantee of insurance coverage. Please consult with your insurance company if you have any questions regarding the scope of insurance coverage afforded by your insurance policy both for services chosen and for any other associated services.
