How to Apply

All positions are filled through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and applications are accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).

Eligibility Requirements

1. Applicants must be expected or actual graduates of a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

2. Graduates of non-LCME approved medical schools must have completed or be enrolled in a 12-month PGY I position in an ACGME-approved program and must hold a 12-month residency completion certificate. Preference is given to those completing PGY I training in a Transitional Year, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, or General Surgery program. 

3. Graduates of LCME or AOA approved programs must have taken and passed Part II of the USMLE prior to graduation to be considered for the Family Medicine and/or Transitional Year Residency program.

4. Applicants who have failed any part of the USMLE three times will not be considered. 

5. Applicants who have no more than five years between graduation and application are preferred.

6. All applicants must interview to be ranked.

7. We do not respond to inquiries from applicants outside of the United States.

For Foreign Medical Graduates

1. Applicants must hold an ECFMG certificate and have completed one year in a U.S. Accredited Residency Program, with hands-on clinical experience.

2. Research fellowships, externships and volunteer work are not acceptable substitutes in place of a one-year ACGME approved residency. Preference is given to those completing PGY I training in a Transitional Year Program, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics or General Surgery residency program.

3. Foreign Medical Graduates must have a score satisfactory to the GMEC on the USMLE examination to be considered for the Family Medicine Residency and/or Transitional Year programs. All applicants must have successfully completed both Parts I and II of the USMLE examination.

4. Due to fiscal constraints, we can only consider applicants on J1 visas.

  • Each application must include a minimum of three letters of reference, in addition to a Dean’s Letter (MSPE) and/or Program Director’s letter.

  • All reference letters must be authentic and received directly from the reference source or via ERAS. The Residency Program Director must approve the authenticity of all letters.
