Residency Programs and Fellowships
A World of Experience
Broadlawns Medical Center has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Polk County for 100 years, providing high-quality, cost-effective care to the community. With a rich history in medical education, from its first nursing class in 1921 to launching one of the Midwest's first fully accredited Family Medicine programs in 1971, Broadlawns has long been dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
As a county hospital, Broadlawns offers residents unmatched hands-on experience, with exposure to a diverse range of patient conditions, procedures, and clinical care. This unique environment ensures that residents gain the most comprehensive training possible.
Our programs are fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), meeting all residency review committee requirements.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The Broadlawns campus includes an acute care hospital, primary care and specialty clinics, urgent care, emergency services, lab, radiology, dentistry, crisis services, and a full spectrum of mental health care.
