Your OB/GYN or midwife also serves in our Birthing Center, ensuring continuity of care for our delivering mothers. With established healthcare relationships that have developed during prenatal visits, our mothers are comforted by the familiarity of receiving the same compassionate, competent care they’ve come to know and trust.
Our Birthing Center, renovated in August 2020, offers single room maternity care where women can labor, deliver, recover and stay after delivery—with your new baby—all in the same comfortable, private suite.

Lactation Services
How to feed your baby is a decision you get to make. At Broadlawns, we are here to support your goals. We offer in-house lactation support to those who desire to breastfeed, pump, or provide breast milk for their baby. Our lactation consultant is available to help you learn how to hold and latch your baby at your breast, review your breast pump, and answer all of the questions you may have throughout this journey.
Once you return home, you may contact the lactation consultant with questions you may have by phone. One-on-one outpatient lactation appointments are available to Broadlawns patients.
Our monthly Mommy Matters support group is a great way to connect with other breastfeeding families in the community. Dates for the support group can be found here. No registration is necessary for the support group.
Breastfeeding and pumping classes can be found here. We do encourage your support person to attend as well.
If you are a Broadlawns patient, our Mommy Matters Facebook group may benefit you. Here you can receive informal help/advice from other breastfeeding families.
