Registered Nurse Apprenticeship Program

 

Broadlawns Medical Center is proud to announce the launch of Iowa's first Registered Nurse Apprenticeship, made possible by a grant from Iowa Workforce Development in 2023.

This program is designed to support students facing barriers and those underrepresented in the nursing profession.

Program Highlights:

• Duration: A comprehensive three-to-four-year program that combines classroom learning, on-the-job training, and incremental skill development.
  
  
• Hands-On Experience: Participants will benefit from hospital shadowing experiences, allowing them to gain real-world insights into nursing practice.
  
  
• Tuition Assistance: We offer tuition support through our partnership with Des Moines Area Community College, making this opportunity more accessible.
