Why I chose Broadlawns for my residency?

I chose Broadlawns for my transitional year because I wanted a program that would both challenge and support me as I began my medical career. I was drawn tot he wide variety of core and elective opportunities at Broadlawns, but the people are what truly made the decision for me! I could tell right away that everyone at Broadlawns is filled with wonderful mentors who are committed to teaching and supporting residents while preparing us for the next level, no matter what stage of training we are at. 

Hobbies

Knitting, biking, pickleball, snowboarding, and wakesurfing 

Favorite thing to do in Des Moines?

I love going to the Des Moines farmers' market, and am hoping to visit some of the other farmers' markets in the area!
