Why I chose Broadlawns for my Residency

I really wanted to be at a program that would give me all of the skills and knowledge I would need to choose my path after residency. I have a strong interest in Women’s Health and potentially doing OB after graduating, so being prepared in all aspects of Family Medicine was important to me!

Hobbies

Spending time with my husband (one of the Psychiatry residents here at Broadlawns!) and dog, Stella Louise. Going on walks, exploring restaurants in Des Moines, dance, reading. 

Favorite Thing To Do in Des Moines

I really love the variety of restaurants! We like to try all of the different kinds of foods. We are also trying to find the best Mexican restaurant in Des Moines, so far El Fogon is our favorite!
