Why I chose Broadlawns for my Residency

I love all of the interesting pathology that comes through Broadlawns; you never know what you’re going to encounter! I also love how the faculty do an excellent job empowering us to take ownership of our patients and make decisions. It is an excellent place to train to prepare you for wherever you will end up after residency!

Hobbies

I’m actively involved at my church, Walnut Creek Church – Windsor Heights, I’m taking an Arabic class taught by a Somali refugee, and I enjoy running and reading.

Favorite Thing To Do in Des Moines

I love sushi! There are a lot of good deals in Des Moines, but my favorite deal is at Samurai in West Des Moines on Wednesdays – three specialty rolls for $25!
